TapTail

Figma prototype testing plugin

Lightweight prototype analytics for Figma teams

See how people use your prototype, right inside Figma.

TapTail is a Figma plugin that turns shared prototype sessions into visual reports: clicks, misclicks, time on screen, task instructions, success screens, and CSV exports.

The report is generated in the Figma file your team already uses, so designers can review behavior without switching dashboards. TapTail stores prototype event data such as node IDs, coordinates, timestamps and scroll offsets, not your actual design screens or visual file context.

Visual reports in Figma

Generate a separate report page with screenshots, numbered click markers, heatmaps, time on screen and task completion signals.

Prototype-only setup

Create a TapTail sharing link from a Figma prototype URL, send it to testers, then return to the same Figma file to generate the report.

Useful data export

Export sessions, screens and clicks as CSV files when you need to compare labels, segment sessions or continue analysis elsewhere.

Why Figma-native reports matter

Keep the review where the design work happens.

Most product teams already discuss prototype behavior in Figma. TapTail keeps the evidence there too: the report lives beside the designs, on cloned frames, so reviewers can inspect clicks and screen changes without another analytics workspace.

That also keeps the sensitive visual context closer to your organization. TapTail needs enough event data to reconstruct the report in your file, but it does not store copies of your actual screens or design file content.

What is TapTail?

TapTail is a focused user testing plugin for Figma prototypes. It helps you check whether a flow makes sense by showing where testers clicked, where they got stuck, how long screens held attention, and whether they reached a selected success screen.

What TapTail isn't

TapTail is not a full research suite, a survey tool, card sorting platform or session replay product. It is intentionally for Figma prototypes: those moments when you need a practical signal from real people without setting up a full study.

Try TapTail on your next prototype.

Install the plugin, create a tracked prototype link, collect sessions, and generate the report back in Figma.
